Brief

The Safety Measures program was created to improve support for people experiencing domestic and family violence by identifying service gaps through better data. It centres the voices of women, First Nations people, and other diverse individuals with lived experience to guide change. A visual identity was needed to reflect the program’s values and its involvement across Victoria, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.

Outcome

A logo and visual identity were developed to reflect the program’s core values of unity, safety, and collaboration. An illustrative style was used to create a softer, more approachable look and feel. Feedback from six partner organisations helped shape an inclusive final identity that aligns with the program’s goal to drive meaningful change for people affected by domestic and family violence.

Logo design

The logo shows three eucalyptus leaves in a circle, symbolising unity, support, and healing. Eucalyptus is known for cleansing and protection, often used to welcome and comfort others. The circle represents those affected by domestic violence, surrounded by care and support to help them heal.

Microsoft Word template and email signature

The client needed a set of templates to launch their program, including a Microsoft Word document, a PowerPoint presentation, and an email signature.

To support consistent use, a creative guide was also provided, outlining instructions for applying the logo, visual elements, colour palette, and typography.
