Brief
Jarjum Life Museum is a museum created by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children (Jarjum), showcasing creative work that documents their lives and perspectives of growing up today. The project was featured in major arts festivals such as QPAC's Out of the Box, providing a platform for children’s voices and stories to be seen and heard by the wider community. My role was to design a bold, colourful, and childlike visual identity that always centred the works and voices of the children.
Outcome
The visual identity captured the vibrancy and creativity of the Jarjum, reinforcing their cultural significance. A hand-drawn logo was designed to appear as if it were created by the children themselves. The design celebrated and showcased the children’s work as the central creative focus wherever possible.
