CULTURAL STORYTELLING

Your story, told through art.

When you commission artwork from me, you're getting something made specifically for you. Artwork that represents your story and values, not a generic piece with no meaning or connection to your business.

We'll start with a briefing session to chat through the story and direction for your artwork. From there, every piece starts with a sketch for you to review, then two rounds of changes once it's finished.

Types of artwork

Pattern

A flowing design woven from several elements, built to repeat and stretch across any length. Perfect for website banners, document headers and footers, or a decorative band on packaging.

Motif

A self-contained piece built around one central design, with smaller elements arranged around it. It doesn't repeat like a pattern, and it centres on one idea rather than a wider story.

Full artwork

A larger, detailed piece bringing multiple elements into one fixed composition. It tells a fuller story, rather than repeating like a pattern or focusing on one idea like a symbol. Used as a hero image, mural, or centrepiece.

DELIVERABLES

Here's what you'll get.

You'll get the full artwork, plus a short creative guide on how to use it correctly and respectfully. Depending on the piece, you'll usually also get a series of smaller assets broken out from the artwork for you to use separately.

Every piece is delivered print- and screen-ready as a digital file. Full artworks come as a high-resolution digital file, A1 size at 300dpi, so they’ll print at high quality and look nice and crisp.

TIMELINE

How long will it take?

Patterns and a single symbol usually take about a week to turn around, while a full artwork takes about 2 weeks. Changes are generally turned around within 2–3 days.

These are rough guides and not a guarantee. Actual turnaround depends on my availability at the time. If you need it sooner, just let me know, I'm happy to see what I can do to work around a tighter deadline.

LICENSING

Who owns the artwork?

Short answer: I keep the copyright, and you get a licence to use the artwork. The licence covers what it's used for, how long for, and where. We'll sort all that out before you get your quote, so there are no surprises down the track.

Most people just need it for their website, socials and printed reports, and that's what the standard price covers. If the artwork is going somewhere that earns money, like paid ads, packaging, or products you're selling, that's a bigger licence, so it'll cost a little more.

Because this artwork carries story and cultural connection, it's never available as a full buyout. The copyright, and the story behind the piece, always stay with me, whatever the size of the project.
