Jarjum Life Museum

Jarjum Life Museum is a creative collaboration by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children (Jarjum), showcasing their art and stories of growing up today. Featured in a major festival, QPAC’s Out of the Box, it offered a space for children’s voices to be celebrated by the wider community.

Scope
Branding
Hand-drawn brand identity created for Jarjum Life Museum, a First Nations children's art and storytelling project at QPAC's Out of the Box festival
I created a vibrant, playful visual identity that reflected the creativity of the Jarjum. The logo and elements were hand-drawn to be childlike. The children's own artwork was placed at the heart of the brand so it felt authentically and proudly theirs. At the centre of Brisbane's performing arts precinct, I designed a 56-metre wall graphic that transformed the space into a public exhibition of the children's work. Alongside it, a collection of 50+ storybooks brought the children's stories to life.
